Dear colleagues and congeners,

Let us try once again to invite some of our fundamentalist congeners to
perform HUMANELY on the name of WHAT might be supporting the existence of
humans on Earth.

Would you please send a message to the Nigerian Ambassador as it has been
commented below by

I also dare to ask you to diffuse widely this call.

Dear addressed,
I hate to receive unsollicited email. Sometimes however I do not care so much.
Also in this case, the cry for help justifies in my view to send you this
message.
Please do not call me a spammer ??
I hope that your feelings are about the same as mine and that you will send
your petition
to the Nigerian Ambassador and to many of your friends.

 Petition

Call to solidarity.

The isue is, to send a letter to the Nigerian officials on behalf of Safya
Husseini Tungar-Tudu, a young NIgerian girl, who has been convicted in her
country to the death penalty, because she became pregnant without having a
husband.

Such an act is there regarded as a severe infringement of islamic
fundamentalistic law, that in her country takes the place of criminal law.

If not heavy international pressure is exerted, within about a month Safya
will be placed in a grave, then buried up to her waist, and finally stoned
to death by the inhabitants of her village.

At this moment she is locked up in her house, where she feeds her child,
that has become a synonym to the death penalty.

She will be allowed to breast-feed during some weeks to come, then she will
be sent into the grave and killed (this has been confirmed by Amnesty
International).

We can do something, when we write to the Nigerian embassy in Rome, to beg
the president of the Nigerian Republic for her reprieve.

However, it have to be many letters. I therefore ask you to lead this call
further to your friends (do not forget those without an e-mail-connection)
and to write at once to the embassy. When you do not act quickly, we risk
to intervene too late.

As a last detail: as always in such matters: the father of the child has
been acquitted because of lack of evidence. We cannot remain at the edge of
the grave and just look at this newest instance of intolerance, ignorance,
and lie. We must make a collective gesture of solidarity, by sending the
 following letter to:

 Ambasciata della Nigeria
 A l'attention de l'Ambassadeur
 Via Orazio 18
 00193 Roma

or the following e-mail to: embassy@nigerian.it

 Monsieur l'Ambassadeur,

Je vous prie de demander au President de la Republique du Nigeria de
sauver la vie de Safya Husseini-Tungar-Tudu

Merci,

Signature

P.S. I beg you to send this e-mail, if possible, to at least 20 friends
and acquaintances. Simply use your e-mail distributor, to keep the
message simple.

Do I need to stress this is urgent?
