i think these two options are not mutually exclusive. the kbs shall be
understood - that implies, that up to now it is not yet fully
understood. therefore a new unertsanding might be appropriate. i
myself and my research group will try to "derive" a concept from our
unified theory of information. and we will have scientific discussion
of other approaches within the project group.
