Dear Christophe,

It seems to me that two different systems of reference are involved in
producing the signal.

For example, a telephone line can carry both voice and data. Whether it
is voice or data does not matter to the telephone line. Whether the
telephone line is from Amsterdam to Paris or from Amsterdam to Berlin
does not matter to the distinction voice/data. The two systems co-vary
in the signal that occurs. In a dynamic representation one could say
that the signal is co-produced by the information exchange and the
carriers.

Would you agree?

With kind regards,

Loet
