[Fis] GRC on Theoretical Biology and Biomathematics

Dear colleagues,

there will be a mini-symposium at the SMB annual meeting in the US end July
2004 which I shall chair. The session will center around (numeric methods
in) a rational model of theoretical genetics.
The meeting will be an exciting and rewarding experience for accountants,
statisticians, number theoreticians and cryptographers as we shall go
rather deep into combinatorics. There is a proposal that the number of
alternatives how a set can behave depends on the way how one looks at the
set: as a contemporary or as a sequenced collection. It may turn out that
this approach can help explaining how genetics functions.
You are cordially invited to contribute your ideas at this ground-breaking
event. I am quite confident that the approach to be analysed and chewed
over there is the way towards understanding interdependent systems
(autoregulation).
I look forward having you there.
Karl

Dear Karl:

Please disseminate the GRC announcement below. Graduate students,
postdocs and faculty interested in mathematical/experimental biology would
especially benefit by participating.

Thanks. Best regards -- Ray
