with apologies for cross-posting, let me inform you about the following event:

International Conference "Describing Complex Systems" - DECOS 2006,
12-14 June 2006, National Park "Brijuni Islands" - Croatia
http://decos.znanost.org.

Purpose of the Conference is bringing together the interdisciplinary groups of scientists and experts describing social and other complex
systems, with methodologies originating in diverse sciences, like sciences, social and economic sciences and humanities.

List of topics includes (but is not limited to):

. interdisciplinary description of complex systems
. nonlinear models in sciences, social sciences, economic sciences, humanities
. stochastic models of complex systems
. agent based modelling and simulation techniques
. meta-theoretical approaches to complex systems
. complex networks
. interdisciplinary approach to culture dynamics
. synergetic and thermodynamical studies of socio-economic systems
. collective character of opinion formation
. development, use, and determination of indicators about complex systems
. visualization techniques related to complex systems, networks and dynamical processes
. scientometrics and the ways to measure quantities in scientific community and related complex systems.
