[Fis] Infopoiesis

Dear All:
I am a psychiatrist with interest in the subject of Infopoiesis, perhaps an
offshoot of Autopoiesis. I am attempting to understand mechanisms or mechanism
by which a system can generate information of its own accord and what would be
the elements required for such a system to come to be; e.g. using the analogy
of "Being and Becoming" - Prigogine.
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions for further reading and bibliography will be
highly appreciated.
